Freek Mulder, a.k.a. kotokid, is spreading his wings and taking to the skies with his debut release. The first EP of the producer and bass player is symbolically titled ‘Fledge’, as in the young birds’ period just before embarking on their first flight, while developing feathers large enough in order to take off. With “Fridge” he presents himself ready to fly, with a full-length album and supporting live show showcasing an explosive light show matching the energy and dynamics on stage.

kotokid takes the best parts of jazz-fusion and carves his name into it. Using analog synthesizers to catch nostalgic and organic sounds we all know from R&B and hip-hop, he brings a studio-produced sound to the live stage. As a producer, he built a fourth band member with these instruments, that interprets the track differently every show with randomisers and variety output, keeping the trio fresh and alert to play the music in the moment with newfound grooves and melodies.
